Natalie McGrath

Natalie McGrath is a playwright, poet and lecturer. She is currently writing ‘Oxygen’, which will tour across the South West region, Summer 2013 as part of Dreadnought South West’s (http://www.dreadnoughtsouthwest.org.uk) celebrations of the Great 1913 Suffrage Pilgrimage. Her short pay ‘Exodus’ is part of a tour with five other plays for Box of Tricks Theatre Company’s (http://www.boxoftrickstheatre.co.uk) NWxSW Word Play Tour 2013. ‘Rift’ was produced at the Brewhouse Theatre & Arts Centre, Taunton in 2012, and awarded the Inspire mark, as part of the Cultural Olympiad. ‘Coasting’ was developed through Bristol Ferment and produced in the studio as a Bristol Old Vic production, 2011. ‘Wild Doves’ was also produced by Bristol Old Vic (http://www.bristololdvic.org.uk) as part of their Short Fuses season, 2010. ‘Scottish Kiss’ was Natalie’s contribution to Paines Plough’s (http://www.painesplough.com) Come To Where I’m From production in 2010 at Bristol Old Vic. Natalie’s first play, ‘Metal Remains’, was produced by Theatre West at the Alma Tavern, ( www.theatre-west.co.uk) Bristol in 2008 and shortlisted for the 2009 Meyer Whitworth Award in association with the National Theatre & the Playwrights Studio, Scotland.

Natalie is also an Associate Lecturer in the department of Theatre & Performance at Plymouth University, has a Fellowship with the Hypatia Trust, Cornwall and is an Artistic Associate at the Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter (www.bikeshedtheatre.co.uk).
